Peak & Porch is Renee and Dylan’s three homes: the Milwaukee House and the Union House, a block apart on Bend’s west side, and the Sunnyside Studio at Palisades Tahoe Lodge in Olympic Valley. In Bend you leave the car and take the bikes; at Tahoe you leave it in the garage and ski from the door.

We have visited Bend many times and this was our favorite Airbnb. It is incredibly walkable: close to the grocery store, restaurants and coffee shops, parks and the river. The house itself is charming with a great backyard and everything you need to feel at home.
Leave your car and walk four blocks to the footbridge over the Deschutes, into Drake Park and downtown Bend. We’ve got bikes for your use, Newport Market is half a block away, and the city bus is free. At Tahoe, park in the covered garage and forget the car: the lifts, the Village and the free shuttles are all out the door.
We’re in Central Oregon and the Sierra, which sometimes see storms in winter and smoke from wildfires in summer. Mother Nature is part of what makes these places so wonderful. If she interrupts your plans, write to us and we’ll do our best to work with you.

The two Bend houses are a block apart off Newport Avenue, a short walk from the Deschutes and downtown; Redmond’s airport is about half an hour north. The Sunnyside Studio is at Palisades Tahoe Lodge in Olympic Valley, eight miles from Lake Tahoe and about an hour from the Reno airport.
Booking, the house rules, getting around Bend and Olympic Valley, answered by Renee.
Booking
Yes. The Milwaukee House and the Union House are a block apart: book both for the same dates and there is room for nine.
Book and pay on the calendar. The renter agreement is signed within 48 hours of booking, and a $200 security deposit hold goes on your card before the stay. The primary renter must be 18 or older.
Cancel more than 14 days before arrival for a full refund; within 14 days there is no refund. Storms in winter and wildfire smoke in summer are part of mountain life and are not grounds for a refund, but if you have to cancel inside the window Renee will reopen your dates and return whatever a replacement booking brings in, less a small administrative fee.
Yes. Write to Renee before you book anything over 14 days; longer stays need her approval first.
House rules
No. Every Peak & Porch home is strictly animal-free because of severe allergies.
No smoking, no pets, and no parties or events. Check-in is from 4 pm and check-out by 11 am.
The homes
Yes, at the Milwaukee House all ages are welcome, though it is not set up for babies or toddlers, so bring a crib and anything else little ones need. The Union House and the Sunnyside Studio sleep two. The primary renter must be 18 or older.
The Milwaukee House has a driveway for three cars, one behind the other (the garage is for bikes and gear, not cars). The Union House has its own driveway. The Sunnyside Studio comes with covered parking for one car; the garage clearance is 7′6″.
Getting around
Not really. Newport Market and the cafés are half a block to a block away, downtown is over the footbridge through Drake Park, the city bus is free and there are city e-bikes. Each house has bikes: four at the Milwaukee House, two at the Union House. Bring your own helmet.
It is on the Sunnyside ski trail at Palisades Tahoe Lodge, the closest lodging to the chairlifts, and a short walk to the Funitel and the tram. Olympic House and the Village are under five minutes on foot.
A large pool and a tennis court open from Memorial Day weekend through September, outdoor hot tubs open all year, indoor hot tubs, a sauna, a steam room, a gym and a locker room, all remodelled in 2022, plus barbecues and a lawn by the pond.
